the bumpo seat (a.k.a. the roaming noam)

We discovered this fabulous invention, the bumpo seat. I knew about it when Eloise was born, but didn't want to spend the money. Fortunately, we have a friend who was able to let us borrow hers.

I can't tell if Lily likes it or is just humoring us by tolerating it. But it's this funny little pod that can be moved around from place to place. It reminds me of the roaming Noam. I just never knew where she, it, are going to end up.

We'll have to see how many places we can take her picture in it. Maybe we can start a map on our wall to document the places she has been.

We love this seat and Eloise does too.

My son Steele affectionately calls it the "bum bum seat". I laugh every time. Presenting Miss Adia Moon... (in the bum bum seat)

Dear Eloise and Lily,
Being your nana is the best. I love every moment we spend together and I am so sad over the length of time we are apart. You both are changing every day and while I am so thankful for the telephone and the "call Nana" phone calls I still miss you both like crazy.
I was blessed to be at your births. Eloise I watched as the top of your little head pushed it's way out over and over again until you finaly emerged. I cried from the time your mother called me until you were born. I was overjoyed to have another granddaughter and for your mother to have a daughter. You were so beautiful and so fussy. The night Ellie the midwife said was the best sleep night for babies was not. Apparently you hadn"t heard you were suppose to sleep a good sleep that night. We learned about swadling and watched the Happiest Baby on the block video several times hoping to get some tips on how to make you sleep.
Now I love that you know me, and want to spend time with me. I love your hugs and kisses and your "Nana come here" I love you so much you are so funny. I think you inherited the funny bone because everything you say is so darn cute. You love your little sister and you haven't been jealous of her for a minute, it's like she was always there. I love singing our little song even if it drives your mother crazy Ela Lou Ela Lou Ela Lou Praise ye the Lord and now how precious it is when you sing Praise the de Lord and throw your hands up or pause before you say de Lord. I love you dear grandaughter.
Lily Lou as I sometimes call you are the opposite of your sister. I sometimes feel bad because Eloise gets so much of my time and I want to cuddle and play with you and get to know you and you me. I was there when you were born. I didn't hear the phone ring when your mom went into labor and when I did I was panic stricken that I would miss your birth. Fortunately your mom takes a long time to deliver babies so I got there in plenty of time. Your moms labor was long and slow at the begining but at the end swift and strong. You were ready to enter the world and nothing was going to stand in your way. You were as dark as Eloise was blond more like your mother. You were perfect and beautiful( I could be a bit biased) I don't think so and I loved you from the start. I haven't seen you since my birthday a month ago so I am eager to see you smile and hear you laugh and cuddle you close.
Eloise and Lily, being your nana is just about the best thing that could ever happen to me and I look forward to sharing with you why this is and what makes it so great.
Yours always in my heart Nana
