going green...

...and cheap.

So I'm not really huge into the green movement. But I am big into figuring out ways to make things have less impact on the family budget. Because really, it's way more important for me to pad my clothing budget than saving the planet.

Here's a great list of ways to make products. I'm trying the dishwasher detergent. I'll let you know how it turns out.

I started making laundry detergent several months ago and I will never buy it again! It is cheaper, I think cleans better, easy to make and I love knowing that I made it!
I learned how here

so far the detergent works great. I'm going to add a little lemon oil and go from there.

I have yet to tackle laundry detergent. I'm hoping to do that in the next 6 months

So where on earth do you buy Borax? Sounds like something right out of the 50's.
